Shin-Osaka Luggage Station Baggage Storage Service Terms and Conditions

(Usage Notes)
When using the baggage storage service, you agree to these terms and conditions.

Store Hours

7:00 AM – 11:00 PM

1. Items That Cannot Be Stored

  • Items that may contaminate or damage other belongings
  • Unclean items or those emitting strong odors
  • Perishable or easily spoiled (fragile) items
  • Valuables (cash, securities, precious metals, important documents, and items deemed valuable by our company)
  • Precision equipment, etc.
  • Animals and seafood
  • Items with inadequate packing unsuitable for storage
  • Items requiring refrigeration or freezing
  • Other items deemed inappropriate for temporary storage by staff

2. Service Scope and Fees

*The calculation of storage duration is based on a full day, ending at 11:00 PM, regardless of the time stored.

If pickup occurs after business hours on the following day or later, an additional fee will be charged per item per day: ¥1,000 for regular-sized items and ¥2,000 for large-sized items.

3. When Depositing Baggage

Purchase a ticket from the vending machine and present it at the reception desk to deposit your baggage.

The receipt serves as the baggage claim ticket. Please keep it safe and do not lose it.

If a baggage item declared as a regular size exceeds 60 cm in length upon deposit, an additional fee of ¥1,000 per item per day will be charged.

4. Baggage Pickup

Baggage will be returned upon presentation of the receipt with the corresponding serial number.

If the receipt is lost, proof of ownership will be required. Identification documents may be requested for verification.

5. Handling After the Storage Period Expires

Baggage not picked up after the storage period ends will be kept for an additional five days.

During this period, a storage fee of ¥1,000 per day per regular-sized item and ¥2,000 per day per large-sized item will be charged.

6. Disposal of Unclaimed Baggage

If baggage is not claimed within five days, it will be disposed of according to our company’s policies.

Any proceeds from disposal will be used to cover storage fees and other associated costs.

7. Handling of Prohibited Items

If an item stored is found to fall under the category of "Items That Cannot Be Stored" (as listed in Section 1), we reserve the right to dispose of it or take other appropriate measures as necessary.

8. Liability for Accidents

We are not liable for any damage or loss of stored baggage in the following cases:

  • Damage or loss of items listed under "Items That Cannot Be Stored"
  • Loss or damage due to natural disasters or other unavoidable events
  • Confiscation or examination by government authorities for judicial purposes
  • Other cases where the company is not responsible

9. Compensation for Damage

If we are responsible for damage to stored baggage, compensation of up to ¥100,000 per item will be provided.

However, surface damage such as scratches or scuffs on suitcases from normal handling is not covered.

10. Cancellation Policy

  • No-show cancellations: If you cancel without prior notice, a cancellation fee of 100% of the service fee will be charged.
  • Other cancellations: If you notify us in advance, a full refund will be issued.
